3 Best "Short Books" On Personal Development

...and why you must always be reading

As an Athlete or Coach, you are very busy. Time is of the essence. Our days are action- packed with schedules, practice time, weights, and travel.

There is no excuse, however, to not increase in knowledge. It is our responsibility to develop not only our bodies, but our minds. Reading is one of the best investments you can make on your career…

When you can take an author’s notes (sometimes a lifetime of experiences), and consume and apply their wisdom, you could easily save yourself months, years, or even decades of unnecessary trial and error.

As the old saying goes, “Readers are Leaders, and Leaders are Readers.”

Some of you may say, “I don’t have any time”.…

The truth is: you make time for what’s important. I was typically a decent student, but when I was an athlete, I hated reading… I didn’t make time for it because I didn’t think it was important.

I read now more than I ever have, and I absolutely love it.

One of the devil’s biggest weapons against us is ignorance. If you are ignorant (you are blind, or have no knowledge in an area), you can be lied to, manipulated, or led astray.

We must stay knowledgeable in not only our craft, but more importantly in our faith.

The Bible says in Psalm 119:105…

“Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.”

READ YOUR BIBLE!

You want to talk about a return on investment! The Bible is full of life. The more that we get it into us, the clearer things become.

For those of you looking for suggestions for quick, short reads, I’ve put together a list here, and even a few that I have written…
