Change Your Inputs
...and other reasons why you keep failing
I was never great at math. I was good enough to keep things moving, but I had to really work at staying on top of this subject. I did like ALGEBRA, however. Some of you reading this right now can probably relate.

We can ALL agree that one of the reasons why algebra is very unique is because YOU CAN ALWAYS CHECK YOUR WORK. As a matter of fact, you will know if you got the answer right before you even turn in your paper!!!
It didn't matter if we were talking about algebra, geometry, calculus, or trigonometry. The beauty of math and it's various versions and equations is that you can always check your work. Even when the equations contained numbers and letters, you could always manipulate the inputs to see if you were correct/wrong.
Why is this important for Performance? The reason why this is so powerful, is because when you want to change your outputs, you must first change your inputs.
Some of us are doing the SAME THING hoping for a DIFFERENT RESULT (insanity).
This is more than the old cliché, "You get what you put in". This is true not only on a figurative level, but a literal one as well. If I condition my behavior with negative thoughts, words, and actions, my output will be diminished and marginal.

…when you want to change your outputs, you must first change your inputs
The same is true in any area of your life: your overall health, attitude, perspective, confidence, nutrition, conditioning, discipline, and the list goes on.
IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR OUTPUT, YOU MUST FIRST CHANGE YOUR INPUTS.
This simple concept that many of us learned in math class many moons ago, can be one of the determining factors for tweaking/improving our current performance.

All the best,
