The 3-Fold Cord
Who Is Around You?

Cal Raleigh (middle), his father Todd, and his little brother “T”.
If you watched the MLB Home Run Derby recently, you likely noticed something that every single player had in abundance….
POWER
These dudes were hitting bombs 💣💣💣!!!
It was a display of power that was nothing short of impressive…

O’Neil Cruz of the Pirates hit a 513ft bomb during the derby 😳🫨
There was something interesting, however, about the 2025 winner, Cal Raleigh.
You see, usually these contestants will have someone they are familiar with throw to them as they hit. This person is usually a coach, family member, teammate, or someone who is familiar with their swing.

Junior Caminero of the Rays put on a show to remember
Not only did Cal Raleigh have his father (Todd, who is a coach) throw to him, he had his little brother (“T”) behind home plate as the catcher!!!
The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 4 that:
Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.
And verse 12 goes on to say, “Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
Unlike any other contestant in the home run derby, this 3-man team was locked in the entire time.
Little brother would communicate with Dad, Dad would make adjustments, Cal would hit missiles. This process repeated itself all night and it was amazing.
Cal said of his brother, “He was hyping me up all night”.

There was constant communication between the Raleigh family
Why is this important?
Whether you are talking about sports, family, or in life…surround yourself with SOLID people who have your best interests in mind…and VICE VERSA.
Even though the other contestants were all amazing as individuals…at the end of the day, Cal Raleigh’s 3-fold cord was just too strong.
Who is in your inner-circle? Are YOU making them better? Do they challenge you? Do they add value? Do they always show up for you in big ways?

…a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
